Windows 10 is arguably the best version of Windows ever, but that doesn’t mean its immune to slowing down. Any new software you install on your computer will influence the overall speed of your computer. Whether it starts marginally slower or runs slower all the time is dependent on many factors. Spyware/malware is the most common reason a computer might slow down, but it’s not the only reason. Microsoft are always releasing updates for Windows 10 to ‘plug’ the exploits scammers are finding to deliver their arsenal of computer spyware/malware/viruses. Even when you run anti-virus software, you are not immune to attack.

Windows 10 will slow down if you don’t maintain it. Even when you do maintain Windows, it will still have something slowing it, even just a little. Any program instaled will tkae it's share of resources.
