Do you service areas outside of Ballan?

Yes, We service a 30 km radius from Ballan & Ballarat including, Bacchus Marsh, Ballan, Ballarat, Beremboke, Buninyong, Creswick, Dunnstown, Gordon, Greendale, Mt Egerton, Myrniong, Yendon, Wallace, Warrenheip. We Also service client computers in Melton & Daylesford.

Do you have a warranty?
Yes,
Services - We cover all our work with a 30 day warranty. If there is any issues left over from a Ballan Computers repair, we cover it free of charge within 30 days.
Hardware - If we supply new hardware for your computer, we cover the product with the same warranty the manufacturer does.
Refurbished & Second Hand Hardware - From time to time Ballan Computers my use second hand parts (with authorisation) or offer refurbished computers. In this case we offer a 3 month hardware warranty.

Do you a call out fee or charge extra for onsite?
No, We do offer a discount for remote fixes on our scheduled maintenance plans though. We may charge travel if traveling outside of 30 KM from Ballan or Ballarat.

What Payment Methods do you accept?
We accept Bank Transfer, Cash & BPay.

Do You Offer Payment Terms?
For business customers only. We offer up to 14 days payment terms on services. Hardware & software purchases are payable before system is serviced or returned.

Is it worth getting my computer fixed, should I just buy a new one?
It really depends on the age of the Computer and what you're willing to spend. Either way if you do buy a new computer, there will be charges involved if we set it up with data transfer.

Can I bring my computer to Ballan Computers?  Where is your workshop?
Ballan Computers no longer has a shop front. We come to you. We'll make an appointment to come and see you at a time that suits you.

How long will it take to fix my computer problems?
Really depends on the issue. We'll make an appointment and see how we go fixing the issue onsite. If we require to take the computer away, its generally returned the within two days.

What happens if my problem cannot be fixed?
Each issue is different. We'll have an idea how difficult the fix might be before the visit and give you notice that it might be difficult. There are very few issues we can't resolve though. If we happen to come across an issue we can't resolve, we will not bill you. No Fix, No Fee.

Is there anything you know you can't do?
Yes, At this stage Ransomware is a difficult issue. We can attempt to resolve Ransomware issues, but they can be difficult to resolve.

Can you supply laptop parts?
In most cases Yes, We service all the major brands of Laptops. If there might be an issue, we'll let you know to avoid lengthy waits or disappointment.

Can you Retrieve data from a broken or crashed computer?
Yes, Ballan Computers offers data retrieval services. Even if you accidentally delete files, we can attempt to retrieve them.
 
Do you fix overheating laptops or computers?
We can certainly take a look at it. Overheating can happen for many reasons. We'll need more information to give you a definitive answer.

I have lost password to login to windows. Can you remove the password or get me logged in?
There are some ways we can try get you logged in. Sometimes they work, other times they don't. If we come across a password we can not reset, we do have a solution.

I need to re-install my Windows or Software, but I don't have my product keys. Can you help?
Yes, In most cases, we can assist in the recovery of product keys, It is important however to do this before a re-install.
